Cerita Past Tense Bahasa Inggris dari Lagu hits jaman dulu "Don't Cry Joni"

"Don't Cry Joni" sebuah lagu yang tidak diketahui banyak orang yang mulai hidup di abad 20an, tapi ada juga yang tau karena sering mendengarkan lagu ini dari tape recorder orang tuanya. lagu hits di jaman 1975 an ini diciptakan oleh Conway Twitty,  yang kali ini mau ane ceritain dengan imajinasi ane dengan menggunakan bahasa inggris.

DON'T CRY JONI

           Long time ago, in the town the edges of Los Angeles, there was born a beautiful baby named Joni. When she was 4 years old she had to be sat by her neighbor named Gloris, because her parents had to work . Gloris didn’t feel burdened about that because her son was going to school when she took care of joni in the morning.

“Jimmy, Jimmy throw that ball!”joni shouted when Gloris’ son went home. Joni was very consoled everytime jimmy went home. Jimmy always played with her. They usually played some games like hide and seek, congklak, bekel ball, betengan, etc. Jimmy was kind boy that he regarded joni as his own little sister.

Ten years later, Joni actually already took care of her self. She could do everything she wanted by her own, but she was still going to jimmy’s house after going home from her school. Although jimmy was already 22 years old but they didn’t feel awkward at all. Jimmy even introduce some of  his bestfriend to Joni. “Joni, this is John, and jhon this is Joni. She is like my own little sister And John is really close friend”.

Without knowing of Jimmy and Joni actually John had a special feeling to Joni, but he just kept it inside. After that time, everytime John had a chance to go to Jimmy’s House, He always tried to take the chance to be close with Joni.

October 7^th had come. It was a special day for Joni because it was her birthday, and for the first time jimmy was going to give a surprise for her. In that day jimmy took Joni to a special place that had been dreaming by her. The high place that was full of stars, Jimmy had decorated that place beautifully, special for her. Joni was really happy about that. She still couldn’t believe with that condition and situation that jimmy made for her. But behind of suprising moment actually it was not Jimmy’s idea but John’s.

After that moment Joni always Thought about Jimmy. One night she was starring out of the window when the rain poured down. She asked to herself, “is it a love?” she was still confused with her own feeling. Being bussy of proposing jobs, Jimmy couldn’t meet Joni everyday. Joni felt sad about that. She just could look at him through her window when he came back from his business.

A week later joni got an information from her mother that Jimmy was going to work abroad, in Indonesia, so he had to stay there. On the other side Jimmy couldn’t tell her about his job  because he felt pity for her. Knowing the information, Joni just cried out in her room. She was confused about what she had to do in this situation.

One day before Jimmy left, Joni made herself  brave to express her love for him by writing a note. When Jimmy opened the gate , Joni ran to him. “ Joni why are you here tonight?” Asked Jimmy. She just kept silent and gave her note for him. After Joni left, Jimmy directly went to his room and opened the not. The note sound “Jimmy, Please say you will wait for me. I will grow up someday, you will see. saving all my kisses just for you. Signed with love, forever true.” Read that note He just smiled and in his heart he regarded Joni’s feeling was just a Puppy Love.

In the morning when he would go, he dropped the note on the table. But he didn’t do that on purpose. Then he took it and read it once again. After that he decided to go to Joni’s house to explain her. When Joni was sitting in the yard, front of her house, Jimmy approached and told her  “Joni im Sorry, I think you know that I’m going to leave this town and I think your love is Just not true…”Joni could only stare at him and cried silently. And jimmy said once again, “Joni, Joni Please don’t cry. You will forget me by and by. You’re just fifteen, I’m Twenty two. And Joni I just can’t wait for you”. So her tear drops fell like rain that day.

The time had finally come that Jimmy had to go and leave the hometown. Jimmy said sorry for Joni, but she didn’t listen to him and she just cried and cried. After that Jimmy directly entered the bus. When the bus was just going joni was also just realized that Jimmy left and she tried to catch the bus by running. But it was too late, and Jimmy just could see through by the bus window. Finally, Joni just could cry in the corner of the road.

Jimmy afraid that joni will did something wrong, so he was call up John and tell him that Joni need a friend to share her problems. Jimmy trust to John because John is his bestfriend that understand him so much. "John, i need your help, i have to work abroad , but my bestfriend Joni have problem now. can you console her? please John i trust you”. Said Jimmy on telephone.

      John was very sad because his best friend had to goaway from him. but at least John have one person who will he get . after Jimmy left , year after year John approached Joni , but her heart didn’t melt well to him . until at one day He express his love to her when she is 20 years old. But She just kept silent  and ran go home.

      John did not know what to do . his heart began confused . long enough he slumped like this . and John was always there for her ." God , John is kind person , he was able to change my sadness into my happiness . He spent a lot of time to be with me , he understands what I want . Giving spirit every time I fell , giving help when I need , give me all his heart . God , if he I'm looking for this person ? little heart joni said that began to open his heart to john. In the morning after that day, John went to Joni’s house and would like to apologize for having express his love . but instead she should apologize for leaving without saying goodbye yesterday "John , you're a kind person , you're handsome , you're great , but it's not because all of that I like you , but because of love." john moved hear that words joni said, and he was very happy at all , and in the end he asked joni to marry with him .with all her pleasure, joni accept it.

       on the other hand, jimmy that work in Indonesia was not easy to forget all the memories about joni , he was dificult to fall in love with another woman there . he always remembered joni’s note. he missed joni. even more than that, he began to know that the person who had been he love is joni not another woman . But  these words kept haunting his memory . The words that Joni said to him. John could no longer hold , he wanted to went hometown , he wanted to explain again to joni . he decided to take leave and went home to joni . he packed his clothes and he caught a plane . He ran all the way to the house next door. But things were not like they were before, his tear drops fell like rain that day when he saw joni along with john . and joni approached Jimmy and said to him, "Jimmy, Jimmy, please don't cry. You'll forget me by and by. It's been five years since you've been gone. Jimmy, I married your best friend, john.”
